Senior High 2015 #1

“Friday School”

Every Friday, Westside Senior High School students spend their lunch hour eating pizza, talking about God, watching movies, and planning good deeds. For information on enrolling, contact Father Bunder: peter@goodshep.org

Wednesday Evening Book Group

Our book list for Fall 2019 is under construction.

During the fall and spring semesters, we usually meet on the second Wednesday of the month (except during breaks in the Purdue schedule) at 7:00 p.m., here at the church. This is a very informal group; there are no quizzes!

Our books for spring semester 2019:

January 9: Michael Curry, The Power of Love: Sermons, Reflections, and Wisdom to Uplift and Inspire

February 13: Garry Wills, Saint Augustine: A Life

Tuesday, March 19: Frederick Buechner, Whistling in the Dark: A Doubter’s Dictionary

April 10: End-of-semester movie night!  We watched Won’t You Be My Neighbor? (directed by Morgan Neville, 2018), a documentary about Mr. Rogers (Fred Rogers, 1928-2003).

We usually have a small number of copies of the current book here at the church for lending out.  Buy a copy of any of the books we’ve read from Amazon.com through our Website, and we make a few pennies. Go to our “Donate” page (here), click on the AmazonSmile logo, and then place your order.

Questions about the book group? Suggestions for future reading? Contact Mark Thomas at the church office, 743-1347, sheep@goodshep.org
